About MaRobert's

Many start-ups support charities as they grow, but it’s not so often that the charity starts the enterprise… 

Maggie founded SASHITA in 2008 to help developing rural communities gain access to clean water; homemade sauces, rich with vibrant, Tanzanian heritage, were an instant crowd-pleaser at fundraisers. It was clear from the requests for batches for friends and family at charity drives, parties, and private events that authentic East African flavours were in high demand! 

It wasn’t until 2014 that MaRobert’s was officially born, but with the support of a loyal customer base, close relationships with high-quality retailers, and Maggie’s great creative spark, this genuine, enterprising company has fast become a recognised and well-loved household brand. 

MaRobert’s still works in partnership with SASHITA to bring the best of the West to developing communities, and Maggie’s innovative vision is always developing new ways to bring the taste of Tanzania to UK homes!
